The 8th British International Open was held last weekend, 9th/10th July 2005 and hosted over
500 competitors with teams from Sweden,U.S.A, France, Spain, Malta, Kenya, India, Belgium, Holland, Iran, Ireland and Germany.
Tatyana Dobson (1Dan) was the sole representative from Hwarang in this high level competition.
After several successful matches working her way up the division, we are proud to announce that she took SILVER in the senior female Category A division
(red belt – 4th Dan blackbelt). The dramatic and exciting final match against Team U.S.A's
3rd Dan fighter had the crowd on the edge of their seats.
Tatyana is our first international female medallist at Hwarang.
Congratulations and welcome back to the circuit after your year off due to injury - we salute you!

Recently the Dallow Dragons from Luton fielded a team for the Southern
Championships
coached by James Gwynne, this was their first competition and everyone
is enthusiastic about attending the next one.

The WTF Reform Committee has
now published its final report which will see some significant changes

On the weekend of March 4th
- 6th March B.TA. female fighter Candice Rawlings is competing in the Belgium
Open Championships held at
Herentals,
Bloso Sports Center.
The event is the biggest in
Europe and draws fighters from over 30 countries around the world.
Candice is fighting under the banner of
Cymru Taekwondo which is led by Master Porl Stone.
We
wish Candice, Porl and the rest of the team good luck.
