Membership of the British Taekwondo Alliance is very straight forwards and simple, instructors need to apply via email or in writing to the association head. They should include a history of themselves, their training and copies of certificates and grading logbooks that they have. Once we have received this the application will be formally put to the association for approval or refusal.
The British Taekwondo Council is recognised by The Sports Council as the only Governing body for Tae Kwon Do in the United Kingdom.
The BTC was established in conjunction with the Sports Council to unify and oversee the development of Tae Kwon Do in the United Kingdom.

One barrier to membership is the usage of legally binding long-term contracts that may be prejudicial to the students, or the usage of professional billing agencies.
We always recommend and can provide BTC insurance cover, although we do allow for independent insurance to be used by some of our member clubs.
