After a year of constructing and developing the rules and protocols of the performance and
technicalities of Poomse in the BTA, Barry Peake (National Coach) put into practice the new
changes at a the recent 1st BTA North West Taekwondo Championships. He took 3 members
of the Preston school with him, and 3 of them went home with Gold medals in the Poomse divisions, and 2 golds in the
Kyorugi. They were: Barry Peake, Chris Taylor, Chris Barwise, James Sutton.
Reunited after 25
years
On
8th March 2005 the founder of WTF Taekwondo in Bristol, Master
Thomas Yau who hails from Hong Kong but now lives in Melbourne
Australia, came back to to the city whilst on route to Hannover
in Germany. Master Chris Davies was one of Master Yau's
students and was
eager to meet his old instructor again even if only for a few
hours.

Seminar in Preston

On
6th February Master Davies conducted a seminar at the club of
Barry Peake
the BTA National Poomse Coach. Everyone enjoyed the session and
bookings
for Master Davies to return and to hold sessions at other clubs
have been
coming in as a result.
On
the Day of the Seminar instructor Carl Woolfenden successfully
passed his
4th Dan promotion test.
