The founder, head instructor and General Secretary of the B.T.A. is Master Chris Davies, 7th Dan (Kukkiwon Certified). Master Davies is bringing the the organisation forward at a steady and progressive direction, making the name of the BTA notable and respected as an organisation of credibility. Master Davies is also General Secretary of the UK Taekwondo Development Council which is comprised of numerous groups and has become the fastest growing Taekwondo organisation in the UK.

The BTA head quarters in Bristol boasts full matting and competition scoring system, plus an array of training aids and equipment.
The centre is located on the main A420 road in Kingswood.

BTA clubs have also been working closely with Master Ki Young Suh, 7th Dan, who is former Korean National Team, Pan American Olympic Coach and trainer to the Paraguayan Presidential Guard.

Master Philip Lau was 2 times Hong Kong Champion and 3 times runner-up, British University Champion 2002 and gold medallist at the 7 Welsh open Championships.

(left) The BTA also has contacts in Hong Kong through Senior Instructor Mr. Desmond Lau of the Hon Do Taekwondo Kwan. Mr. Lau visited our bath University School in the summer of 2004.

The BTA had a constructive relationship with master Ok Yi Park from Korea, Master Park was 2 times state female champion and part of the 1992 Korean Olympic Demonstration Team in Barcelona.
